HUMPTY DUMPTY….. The eggs that don’t crack. I had this name formed out of nowhere with nothing to write about, no relation and no inspiration. I had to search harder for inspiration in the darkest room of my mind likewise when you have a relation to the topic. It was the other way round for this.
After minutes of trying to relate the name with everything around me and everyone possible, I remembered HUMPTY DUMPTY. He’s an egg in the nursery rhyme that we all sang like a joke. What a great inspiration from the short story of an egg. How possible could a rhyme have so much relations to our lives? could a rhyme have fixed our lives if we had a deeper understanding of the great rhyme as children? The rhyme says:
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the king’s horses and all the king’s men, couldn’t put Humpty together again.
Let’s learn from this rhyme, In some stages in our lives, we are as brittle as eggs, we could break or crack anytime (most times emotionally and mentally) so we need to watch out! 90% of humans make the mistake of Humpty Dumpty and I’m not an exception. We have Great falls, times that hit us so hard and make us drown in the “ I shouldn’t have” ocean and then we rise again stronger but there’ll always be a mark in our memory lane, right? Let’s assume that Humpty’s story had a continuation, they might have probably glued his shells together, but the marks would always be there to remind him of his act of foolishness.
The eggs that don’t crack are those that know they are fragile and keep themselves in their crate of safety. You first have to accept that you are human and you can crack (break down) even when it seems like you’re the boss at it. When Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall, that might have been his 1000th time seating on that wall but he still fell and broke into pieces. Pride goes before fall. So if Humpty never sat on the wall despite him knowing his level of fragility -0%, the song would probably go as thus:
Humpty Dumpty didn’t sit on the wall
Humpty Dumpty had no great fall
All the kings horses and all the kings Men……………
